Windows 10 Free Upgrade Deadline Approaching

Hey everyone! We just thought we'd remind you about the Windows 10 free upgrade deadline, which is in just under three (3) months from now. This means that you have about three months to upgrade your Windows 7 or 8.1 computer to Windows 10 before the free upgrade offer expires. When the offer expires, you still can get Windows 10, but it will not be free. However, TechTalk 101 predicts that Microsoft will extend the offer (they want all PCs to run Windows 10), and we also hypothesize that the whole reason they placed a deadline on the offer was just to rush people into upgrading to Windows 10.

We also have a couple tips for those of you hoping to upgrade soon.

Back up your data. This is very important, in case something goes wrong when performing the upgrade. We suggest using a spare hard drive as a temporary, free way to back up your data.
Download Windows 10 at a place with fast Internet access. We suggest at least 20Mbps download speed. Places with fast Internet access could include the following: schools after school, hospitals, work, etc.
